from the executive chair ... Lenae Rasmussen Soon and Very Soon ... One of the lively songs we sang at our Tuesday evening worship was on my lips for several days after the convention, "Soon and Very Soon." For some of us, the phrase has multiple meanings. It won’t be long before we will be getting together again in 2004 at Hope Lutheran in Sioux Falls, SD, for more dynamic preaching, worship, and fellowship. I can hardly wait! Also, "soon and very soon" we’ll be growing to over 100 member churches and chapters. LCMC and Augsburg are going through a growing spurt, thanks be to God. The events and public statements of various national church bodies this summer have convinced more people that the situation is "bad enough" to evoke action. It is finally time to do something. Larry Gedde elected Augsburg Financial Chair The Augsburg leadership team is finally complete! Last year, the Joint Council and convention delegates voted to create the Augsburg Financial Chair position. We needed a person to help us create a financial vision, share that vision with others, and raise funds for our mission churches and projects.
