Never used a chat room before?  
Don't worry. This is a very simple, easy-to-use interface that allows you to chat with others who have "entered" the room.

After entering your name/nickname, you will see a chat window.  Inside the chat window you will see all of the conversations going on in the room:  For example:

Jim:  Have you heard the latest?
John:  No, fill me in...

At the bottom of the chat window is the Send area.  Here you simply type your message and click on Send (or hit the "Enter" or "Return" key) to send your message into the chat room.  It may take a few seconds for the window to refresh and display your message.

When you are finished chatting, please click on Exit rather than closing your browser window.  This way, others in the chat room will be able to see that you've left the room.

There are a few rules of etiquette:

• Please be respectful to all who enter the chat room - this is a public area and not a place for personal discussions/disagreements.
• Try not to dominate the conversation.  If you find that your conversation is becoming a personal conversation between you and one other individual, the two of you should leave the chat room and finish your discussion offline or use a private instant messaging program such as AOL Instant Messenger or MSN Messenger (from Microsoft).
